Project Manager, Indirect Procurement (maternity cover)

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is constantly evolving and as a retailer continuously optimizing the cost base globally. We are looking for a Project Manager for a 12-months maternity cover, to be leading and executing sourcing projects across various indirect categories with the main focus on logistics.

This is the job
Our Procurement department supports the business with strategic projects as well as quick win sourcing initiatives. Always in close collaboration with key stakeholders in Denmark or the global retail organization.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for identifying sourcing opportunities, execute tender processes and participate or lead negotiations with our suppliers. Furthermore, you will be involved in developing supplier relationships, spend analysis and opportunity assessments. In short, you will be driving a measurable impact to the bottom line, ensuring an agile and cost-effective supply chain.

You will work from Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s headquarter in the center of Copenhagen (Strandgade, Copenhagen K) and report to the Procurement Director.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Generate savings (P/L, YoY, Cost avoidance)

• Optimize quality and efficiencies across various areas within the organization

• Anchor best practice sourcing and project management throughout the organization

• Establish a solid governance structure and process across Indirect category spend

• Identify opportunity assessments across Indirect category spend

• Own and develop category strategies

• Cultivate and manage key supplier relationships

• Monitor savings and reporting

• Secure proper contract management

Our ideal candidate is analytical, structured, and excels in executing and monitoring projects. You thrive on problem-solving, business optimization, and challenging the status quo. To succeed in this role, you must be outgoing and skilled at building cross-cultural relationships. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
We value the right mindset, energy, and the ability to drive change over years of experience. A relevant master’s degree is expected, and experience in a global setting, especially in sourcing or management consulting, is a plus. In addition, we value experience within the logistics industry.
