This is an exciting opportunity to work in a field-based role within the Diagnostics and Genomics (DGG) Division of Agilent as a member of the Nordic Customer Application Specialist (CAS) team, supporting Field Sales in the Pathology & Healthcare setting. As Customer Application Specialist, you will be supporting our customers in Pathology laboratories. We provide timely and high-quality diagnosis within cancer diagnostic through trusted answers and insights that advance the quality of life. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team in the promotion of our Pathology portfolio.
  • Provide in-field pre-sales technical support to Nordic Sales Representatives to ensure high value sales are progressed, including Customer Facing Team technical visits, on-site demonstrations, workshops, and tender support.
  • Provide post-sales support to the customer, including onsite instrument and product training, validation support, optimisation / adaptation of products to customers’ needs, on-going technical support and customer care.
  • Participate in Clinical Sessions with Pathologists reviewing slides on demonstrations or for technical troubleshooting.
  • Report the result of actions (trainings, demos, and technical support) to sales team and CAS Manager.
  • Drive seminars and special training for customers (technician, pathologists, others lab stakeholders).
  • Help build customer relationships and to maintain customer satisfaction/loyalty.
  • Assess market trends on the field as well as competitor activity to report back to the different internal teams Sales Management Team.
  • Collaborate and support the Customer Technical Support Team/Technical Support Specialist to handle customer complaints/inquiries and act as backup for the Technical Support Hotline when required.
  • Provide specialist support for major trade exhibitions and scientific meetings, as well as training for the Sales team when required.
  • Report time for on-site visits and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with preparation/translation for user guides and instrumentation manuals where needed.
  • Be the face of Agilent to ensure global guidelines and best practice are adopted and adhered to.

For this role, you would ideally be based in the Capital region of Denmark or in southern Sweden, close by CPH airport, and working remotely combined with regular travel to customer sites across the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland).

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:

  • University Degree (BSc, Masters or PhD) in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or similar
  • Significant experience with pathology workflow, H&E staining, special stains, immunohistochemistry and ISH
  • Experience either in a similar customer support position (Application / Technical Specialist) OR as an end user (Medical Laboratory Technologist)
  • A first teaching/coaching/customer facing experience would a advantage
  • Keen interest in Genomics & NGS development within healthcare setting would be an asset
  • Good IT skills/knowledge
  • Full proficiency in Danish or Swedish, as well as good capability in English. Additional fluency in Norwegian and/or Finnish would be a strong plus but not a must.
  • Valid driving license

You also have great communication and teaching skills to interact and share your technical knowledge with both internal and external partners.
