As a People Partner at GroupM you will c oordinate and carry out our People & Culture agenda and initiatives related thereto on an agency/unit-level and across the People Community. You will u nderstand the needs of employees and align with both the agency/unit, leadership and GroupM business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The People Partner is overall responsible for driving below areas and initiatives related to the People & Culture agenda in close collaboration with the People Leads, and the rest of the People Community. The People Partner must always have an overview of the People landscape on an agency/unit level.
People Development Cycle The PP is responsible for driving talent performance, and in cooperation with the leadership ensuring goal-setting, career-development and performance review conversations with all employees are being conducted and reported in CultureAmp (our joint People Development platform). The PP has responsibility for:

  • Communication to employees in own agency/unit to raise awareness of purpose and process
  • Being a sparring partner for the managers in ex. how to set goals and support in career planning.
  • Being an expert and super-user in CultureAmp.
HR support The PP is responsible for keeping an overview of personnel matters in collaboration with the People Operations Team.
  • Support both employees and managers by being an ambassador in relation to all HR matters
  • Being the critical voice ensuring all aspects in relation to HR matters are being considered/taking into account
  • Assist in personnel matters, terminations, and HR-related issues.
  • Conducting exit interviews and utilizing insights in the creation of learning loops.
Talent Planning The overall Talent Planning is a joint responsibility between the People Partner, management, team leads and Talent Lead. However, the PP plays an essential role in contributing to the bigger puzzle by looking one to six to 12 months ahead to ensure that all teams have the right talents in place.
  • The PP has a big-picture overview of all teams and is one step ahead in terms of mobility and other changes.
  • The PP can look ahead and help predict future needs in teams.
  • The PP assists team leads in capability mapping and pointing out possible gaps.
  • The PP is up to date on changes in the industry and helps ensure organizational fit for the future.
Learning and development, course and education planning The overall offering of learning and development opportunities is planned by the People Partners, Talent Team, and management. On an agency level, the PP is responsible for:
  • Proactively drive and develop the educational program
  • Facilitating the flow and ensuring the progress of employees participating in courses.
  • Administrative planning of employees to participate in education and development courses.
Recruitment & Onboarding The People Partner is responsible for coordinating processes that ensure a continuous flow of the right talent. This is done through e.g.:
  • Guiding leaders and Talent Team through the recruitment process.
  • Keeping an overview of ongoing recruitment and ensuring the right flow and processes.
  • Managing the onboarding of new talents in collaboration with leadership.
  • Managing the administrative onboarding of new talent.
Internship Program The PP has a special role in the bi-yearly GroupM internship program, which is an essential part of the organization’s talent attraction. On an agency/unit level, the PP will assist the Talent Team in coordinating the need for interns and planning the program. This means the PP is responsible for:
  • Interns-demand in each team.
  • Assist the intern-responsibles in ensuring learning and development for both interns and employees with leadership aspirations.
  • Retention planning (on agency level and cross GroupM).
Mental Health Ambassador The PP functions as a Mental Health ambassador ensuring the effective implementation of programs to promote well-being among employees. The PP is responsible for:
  • Driving the DEI agenda by identifying and implementing initiatives that foster a culture of inclusion and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of our well-being agenda.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employees and team leads needing support or advice on stress-related issues.


HOW TO SUCCEED AS A PEOPLE PARTNER

The ideal PP is first and foremost passionate about people development and culture. It requires teamwork and networking skills and the ability to engage and motivate others to learn and grow. The PP is motivated by the success of others and seeing the organization, the leaders and the talents grow.

The PP has a physical presence at the office where the PP is a known face to the employees. The PP is the go-to person for employees who view the PP as open, a person who listens to their needs, and who is approachable – also for those who just need “two minutes”. To fill the PP role, you need to have:
  • Strong business understanding and extensive operational experience.
  • HR and/or leadership experience.
  • Experience with team facilitation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in facilitating change initiatives and projects.
  • Ability to build a plan and execute it accordingly.
