New Product Development Associate (12 months temporary assignment), Arla - Aarhus

We are currently looking for a NPD Associate to join our Global New Product Development (NPD) team within Cooking products. You will be joining a team of 12 people located across seven countries. This position is based in Aarhus at our world-class Innovation Centre in Skejby, reporting to the Head of Cooking & Cream innovation. The position is a temporary assignment of 12 months. Further, you can expect some travelling days to our site in Esbjerg.

How you will make an impact

Your main role will be coordinating recipe development and reformulation to ensure business continuity and new product launches, hereby you will play an important role in driving the success of our product developments. You will be planning, conducting and documenting trials in pilot plant and dairy in close collaboration with team colleagues and Procurement, Commercial and Supply Chain teams on optimizing costs and deliver customer value.

Furthermore, you can look forward to:

• Support NPD colleagues in facilitating trials and documentation in collaboration with team
• Secure high product quality and functionality by quality assurance and legal assessment.
• Project Management, including being able to provide a clear status of a development project, opportunities, risks and project timeline.
• Participate in customer-related activities e.g. project meetings and application test of products
• Act as a strong and credible technical sparring partner in discussions

What will make you successful

We are looking for a candidate with a curious and open mindset. You thrive with independent work, possess a proactive attitude and feel comfortable taking initiative. You are able to prioritize tasks and have a structured and detailed approach. Nevertheless, you are a teamplayer that support and collaborate with your team and cross functional teams.

Further, it will be an advantage if you have:

• A degree Food Science and Technology, Dairy/Process Technology, engineering or similar. The ideal candidate can both be a newly graduate or have 2-3 years of work experience.
• Have great knowledge and understanding of process and production technology
• Advantage if you have experience with ingredients, food production or development
• Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
