We are seeking a talented AP Accountant to join our ambitious finance team. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable and expense reimbursement functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
About the Job You will join the Finance team within AGC Biologics, collaborating with colleagues across various departments. As an AP Accountant, Accounts Payable, you are responsible for providing financial and administrative support to the organization. Your duties include completing payments, checking expenses, and verifying invoices. So, you manage the daily cycle of financial activities within a company in an efficient and clear manner. As a vital member of the finance department, attention to detail and analytical skills are obviously important requirements.   • Ensuring vendor payments and expense reimbursements are accurate, timely, and approved by the appropriate organization members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable finance policies, rules, regulations, and laws, staying abreast of legal and regulatory policy developments.
  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly check runs and wire payments.
  • Researching and following up on outstanding issues with older invoices. Proactively working with stakeholders throughout the organization to set up purchase orders.
  • Maintaining and optimizing the financial systems and processes to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

  • Work well with vendors, supply chain personnel, operational personnel, and other managers.
  • Have intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook.
  • Have strong computer and financial system/ERP experience.

You have…
  • A bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
  • 8+ years of related General Ledger and A/P experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume work environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems; MS Dynamics AX is highly preferred.
  • Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
