ERTMS Operation Specialist

We are looking for a part time Operation Specialist as part of our Engineering team in the Fjernbane project – the project responsible for the introduction of a new signalling system based on ERTMS technology in Denmark.

The Danish Signalling Programme, as the largest of its kind in Europe, is fully engaged replacing the old signalling system on the Danish railway with new digital-based signalling technology. The system is aligned with the European standard, European Railway Traffic Management System (ERTMS). Replacing the system on the entire railway makes Denmark the first country to implement ERTMS on a national scale.

Your place of employment will be at our headquarters centrally in Copenhagen, where you will be part of a dynamic and international work environment with a close collaboration with our international suppliers.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Preparation of operational requirements
• Stakeholder participation in BDK Siding Group
• Review of basic operational signalling documents (signalling layouts, route tables, tracks for detector lockings etc.) (customer reviewer)
• Planning and preparation of and participation in Signal sighting commissions
• Participate in meetings/workshop on technical issues
• Miscellaneous reviews and workshops.
• Validation of operational signalling and ATC documents for the heritage signalling based on SR 1975 and SODB.

For you to be the right candidate.

You have solid experience within the railway industry and ideally also experience with Signalling, including ERTMS design and functionality. Furthermore, you have solid experience working with projects and suppliers.

For each of the roll-out there are specific technical challenges that require solid signalling knowledge, proactiveness and teamwork to propose analyzed technical solutions. Knowledge of the existing Banedanmark signalling infrastructure will be beneficial in this context.

Therefore, we are looking for a team player with analytical skills, a structured and detailed approach as well as good communication skills. At the same time, you can work independently and towards given tasks and deadlines.

The role includes communicating with colleagues of many different nationalities. Our working language is English, both written and spoken, and documentation is mainly in English and Danish.

You must be certified as validator of operational signalling and ATC documents for the heritage signalling.

Salary

You will be employed in relation to the current labour agreement and your salary is settled based on your experiences and qualifications. Your work time is 15 hours/week with start July 1st 2024.
